Zest the orange, then peel it, section it, and remove any seeds you find.
Place the orange sections, zest, cranberries, and raspberries in the bowl of a food processor fitted with a steel blade.
Pulse until everything is finely chopped (but not puréed), then turn into a mixing bowl.
Stir in the sugar, a tablespoon at a time, until it’s sweet enough for you.
Experiment with different sweeteners—raw honey and maple syrup are great less-processed alternatives—adjusting the amount you use to taste. (No artificial sweeteners, please!)
The ultimate do-ahead side: store for up to a week (or more!) in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator.
After chilling in the refrigerator overnight, can be frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight before serving.
