“The future has many names….”

I am frequently reminded that I learn something new from every class I teach, every workshop I hold, and every client I serve. At times, I even feel that I get more from my clients that I am able to offer!

One client’s recent gift to me was an introduction to Gratefulness.org. The site has a lot of information about the practice of gratitude, but my favorite feature is the “Word of the Day” – a daily snippet from a wide variety of great writers and thinkers, often (but not exclusively) about gratitude. There’s no long blog post to read, no fancy downloads – just a daily email that stops me for a second and reminds me to be grateful.

Today’s “Word of the Day” is from Victor Hugo:

The future has many names. For the weak it is unattainable. For the fearful it is the unknown. For the bold it is opportunity.

Starting in 2016, I have the opportunity to focus on growing my health and kitchen coaching practice to a new level. I’m releasing a portion of my hours and the reliable income of my other job as grants manager at Fair Food Network – something that feels at once terrifying (we do have children rapidly approaching college age with all the financial burden that involves) and exhilarating – for today, I’m trying to feel more bold than fearful!

I hope you’ll join me for exciting new offerings and opportunities beginning in January (details will be in my monthly newsletter and on this blog as well as on the upcoming events page of my site) and take advantage of those that remain in 2015!

And I invite you to contact me with suggestions for how I can best serve you.

  1. If we face our fears head on we give ourselves a tremendous opportunity for growth. Just get out of your head and into your heart and the center of your passion and reap the rewards for boldly going where you haven’t gone before!
